This module provides clear, structured guidance for responding to a wide range of emergencies that may arise within a psychology practice. Policies outline the appropriate response to different levels of risk, while procedures address maintenance and readiness of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and duress alarms. Having these processes in place ensures team members can respond safely, quickly, and effectively when incidents occur.
Emergency preparedness is often overlooked until an incident occurs, but following these policies ensures compliance with APS Private Practice Management Standards and helps safeguard both clients and team members.
